Boulder Planning and Development Services permit FIR2021-00115: issued Apr 12, 2021 for fire systems work at 1048 Pearl St. The existing fire alarm system is a simplex 4100es fire alarm control panel, supporting SLC?s for addressable initiating devices and notification appliances. Scope of work includes finishing elevator #3 marked for future in original install. Elevator #3 serves 3-floors: main, plaza, and lower level B1. Additional addressable initiation devices to the elevator lobbies, machine room, and top of shaft will be added. Control modules will be added to control shunt, flashing fire hat, primary and alternate recall. Monitor function is provided to monitor shunt trip. Relay modules shall be provided to interface with door holders (FBO). New two-way communication system (rath) shall be provided and installed in the lobbies of elevator #3. All new initiating devices will tie into existing IDNET (SLC)"M1" circuit. No new notification appliances will be provided per scope of work. All other fire alarm devices outside of the scope of work shall remain as is. All new wiring to be Class B. Existing sequence of operation has been updated per scope of work. Existing graphic map at annunciator shall be updated and placed onsite upon approval. The existing fire alarm system shall not be disconnected or taken out of service without written permission from the owner.
