Entire pergola top will be twelve feet by fourteen feet to extend over the deck by twelve inches in all directions. A cedar 2x6x14 will be attached to each side of the posts. Cedar 2x6x12 rafters will then be spaced out across the top at 24 inches on center, using Simpson Srong-Tie Strong-Drive Timber screws and cross lap joinery to attach the rafters. Decorative corner bracing will also be added.
