Mesa Development Services permit PMT20-11929, opened Jul 20, 2020 for 7225 E Nopal Ave: swimming pool. Construct a 328 SQ FT in-ground, swimming pool. No spa. Electric heat pump. No gas on this permit. Install new electrical line: 52 FT of 1" pvc conduit, #4 thwn electrical wire from main panel to sub panel at pool equipment. A minimum of 18" ground cover. 80 Amp circuit breaker. Code modification - appeal was hereby made to the building official for a modification from, or interpretation of section: ispsc 305.4 of the 2018 irc with mesa amendments, which requires that an alarm, compliant with 2017 UL requirements be provided as barrier when windows of a dwelling or structure serve as part of the barrier and where doors and/or windows provide direct access to the pool/spa through that wall. Additional approval with stipulations includes a latching device not less than 54” above the floor. Emergency escape windows may have an alarm or a latching device not less that 54” above the floor. Homeowner shall not change or modify the barrier in any way without approval of the building official. Homeowners shall inform future owner of the conditions of this code modification.
