Baltimore Department of Housing and Community Development permit BCCM-25-002736: issued May 7, 2026 for roofing work at 1040 William St. The purpose of this project is the replacement of window/storefront units as well as door systems at Federal Hill Prep School. The scope also includes Installation of DAS to improve cellular reception within the campus and to remove unnecessary louver panels. Complete the following work on all elevations: At the basement, 1st, 2nd, and roof replace existing panels and brick sections with new brick in-fill to match existing in color, size, texture, bond pattern and profile. New mortar to be same color (when dry), texture, joint size, profile, and hardness as existing mortar. At 1st, 2nd, and roof, replace the louvers with metal louvers. At the 1st and 2nd floors, replace the storefronts with aluminum stick framed storefront paneling, transoms, and windows. At the basement and 1st floors, replace the doors and door transoms with new doors and transoms. At the 1st and 2nd floors, replace the windows with metal-clad windows. New doors, windows, storefronts, and louvers to fit the existing masonry openings with no additional framing or filler. Applicant to return to CHAP to confirm window and door exterior sash color. All work to be completed as per information/plans/specs in CHAP files except where this ATP supersedes. If installing suppression system in equipment cabinet, then separate permit is required. As per plans as per code.
