How we keep it accurate
- Every page reads the city's own published records and links to them.
- We standardize labels (type of work, status, ZIP) but show the city's own wording next to ours.
- Where a city doesn't publish ZIP codes (Chicago, Mesa), we work them out from each permit's location and say so.
- Mesa publishes the date a permit was opened, not issued; its pages say "Opened".
