EXISTING REAR STAIRWAY SAME SIZE AND SAME LOCATION SCOPE OF WORK: ------- EXTERIOR ALTERATIONS ------- - Repair existing exterior wood landing and stairway at the rear of the property in the same size, height, and location as existing. Work includes removal of deteriorated wood members and installation of new pressure-treated framing, decking, guardrails, handrails, and stair stringers. No changes to design, dimensions, or footprint. - Notes: Landing and stair structure to be anchored to existing masonry wall. Guard height: 36" minimum; handrail height: 34"–38". Maximum stair riser: 7-3/4", minimum tread depth: 10". Minimum landing width: 36". All lumber shall be pressure-treated and rated for exterior use. As per plans and as per code. ( All work will comply with the 2021 International Residential Code (IRC) as adopted by Baltimore City, including: Section R311.7 – Stairways Section R312 – Guards and Handrails Section R507 – Exterior Decks).
