Install new weather stripping at the front and rear exterior doors. Remove unwanted items, debris, and selected appliances from the basement and apply moisture-resistant waterproofing paint to the basement walls. Remove and replace some existing basement stair treads/steps as needed. Remove the existing second-floor ceilings in the designated bedroom and bathroom areas. Repair and replace the ceilings in the rear bedroom, middle bedroom, and bathroom. Install insulation. Install new drywall ceilings, including taping, finishing, and sanding to provide a smooth, paint-ready surface. Install framing as needed. Apply one coat of primer and two finish coats of paint to the new ceilings. Remove and legally dispose of all construction debris generated by the project.
