Baltimore Department of Housing and Community Development permit COM2021-62515: issued May 7, 2021 for alteration or repair work at 150 W Lanvale St. scope of work: interior alterations to include: for fireplace support: 1. saw cut and remove the concrete floor (2' x 2') 2. dig it out to be 12" deep 3. place rebar. mix and pour 3000lb concrete 4. place a 16" x 16" x ½" steel plate under the flat bar that is holding the block of brick. 5. place steel column in center of plate and apply gentle pressure to the chimney 6. apply epoxy cement to the bricks to help hold them together. 7. secure the steel column to the concrete 8. place a section of 4" x 4"under the 3 wood beams bearing on the brick 9. clean up from the work. 10. remove all debris from the site for cracked header: 1. place temporary wall across 5 existing floor joists 2. saw cut and remove the floor (2' x 2') in two locations below cracked header 3. dig holes out to be 12" deep 4. place rebar. mix and pour 3000lb concrete 5. place lvl beam under cracked header. 6. place two steel columns under lvl, applying upward pressure to support cracked header. all work will be done according to baltimore city code and per submitted plans, no curbing or underpinning to be done, (*note: 1. property will maintain stablized and secured during and after construction).
