Baltimore Department of Housing and Community Development permit COM2023-59572: issued Sep 14, 2023 for electrical work at 1426 John St. to enlarge the existing 6' sliding door opening to 10' wide and 105" tall. to enlarge the existing 2nd floor window to 10' wide and 5' tall. rework the existing brick wall and install new steel lintels above each door and window as needed. the rear 2 story brick wall is approximately 20' high and 16' wide and 8" thick. also to remove and replace 9 windows on the ally side of the house. 2 of the windows will be made the same size as the kitchen window. rework the brick as necessary. as per plans and as per code. notice to proceed on rear elevation, enlarge existing six-foot slider door opening to 10-foot wide and 105 inches tall. rework the existing brick wall and install new steel lintels above each door and window as needed. install new door with transom and side lights according to drawing. • on rear elevation, install four windows on second floor according to plans in chap's files • on third floor of rear elevation install two new windows and finish third floor wall with stucco. • on side elevation replace nine windows with two windows to be shortened to the same size as current kitchen window. all sizes are reflected in the drawings and specs in chap files. • install exterior rear light according to size and style submitted by the electrician and stored in chap files. • install new windows on front façade that accurately as possible fits the existing openings. note: because of the original window openings are out-of-square some variation of the windows size may be necessary.
