Baltimore Department of Housing and Community Development permit COM2024-56827: issued Mar 12, 2024 for scaffold or sidewalk shed work at 224 Warren Ave. notice to proceed: as per chap authorization to proceed. • on the side and rear elevations, repoint at the basement, 1 st, and 2nd floors the existing masonry brick wall in its entirety with new type-n mortar mix as required for proper waterproofing and structural integrity. new mortar to be same size, color, location, texture, psi, joint width, and joint profile as existing historic mortar. existing historic bricks to be same size, color, location, texture, psi, bond width and bond pattern as existing historic bricks. mortar to be type-n. hand-scraping, hand-scrubbing, and mild detergent to be used to clean historic bricks using the gentlest means possible. acid wash not to be used. • on the rear elevation, replace at the 1 st floor deck planters, all existing dirt in-fill with new concrete in-fill in its entirety as required for proper waterproofing and structural integrity. new cement to be same size, color, location, texture, and psi as existing historic cement. existing historic bricks to be same size, color, location, texture, psi, bond width and bond pattern as existing historic bricks. existing bricks to be retained in their entirety. all work to be completed as per information/plans/specs in chap files. set up scaffolding on back and side of home; cut out all old mortar on back and side of home up to 3/4 inch deep; point bricks back up using type n mortar; once completed we will clean any excess mortar residue left on the face of the bricks. brick planters will be filled in with concrete. all debris cleaned up and hauled away upon job completion. all work will be done according to baltimore city code, *permit has to be secured from right of way division for scaffolding.
