Baltimore Department of Housing and Community Development permit COM2024-82014: issued Jan 6, 2025 for sign work at 909 N Charles St Baltimore Maryland 21201-5309. we at ash are seeking to restore the facade of the building to its full potential. this work will include the replacement of broken glass windows on the upper floors. the addition of a painted wooden trim detail framing the outside band and integrating the current bay windows further into the overall façade. we would additionally be looking to implement a blue canvas flag, wrought iron arched trellis platers with climbing vines around the existing door. finally, we would like add painted window planters brimming with flowers, and add three metal planters with trees out front. per chap apt _ apwc: trellis installation: install a standalone wrought iron trellis in front of the building, not attached to the structure. trellis will arch over the entryway and include two iron planters to support climbing vines. ensure compliance with sidewalk accessibility and obtain a dot row permit if required. stucco and trim: repaint the exterior stucco and trim to match the nearby hotel using the color hex: #262626.awning and signage: remove existing awnings and add hand-painted signage to the door and stucco. signage must adhere to zoning codes. front door: replace the existing doorknob with a pull knob.bay windowintegration: add trim around the bay window as a non-permit feature that is removable without damaging the building. upper floor windows: replace broken window glass on the upper floors with new glass matching the original in size and style. flag installation: install an 8' x 12' blue canvas flag with painted lettering and decal (color #729ab3, pms 2169u). notes: the trellis and planter boxes are standalone features, not regulated by chap, as they will not attach to the building. ensure any non-permit features, such as the bay window trim, are removable without damaging the building. the existing front façade railing will remain. -all work will match existing plans and specifications in chap files unless otherwise noted in this atp.
