Boulder Planning and Development Services permit PLB2021-00205: issued May 27, 2021 for plumbing work at 2970 Jefferson St. Addition/Enlargement of front porch and alteration to exterior of existing single family home. Below is a summary of the work intended to be performed: The existing exterior siding will be removed as well as the exterior windows and doors. New energy efficient windows and doors, purchased by the client, will be installed along a new rigid insulation board (2" high-density EPS) under the new siding. New lap siding will replace the existing siding. Refer to elevations for quantities and locations. Front Porch Addition: The existing front porch and roof above porch is proposed to enlarge to the west 4 additional feet (128 new square feet /288 square feet of total porch). Based on final structural analysis, the porch and roof will be demo'd in full. It is assumed a new foundation will be poured for the new porch columns. New stone column bases and porch enclosure walls are proposed. See details and plan on sheet A1.01 for more information. Master Bedroom Deck: Existing decking and water proofing to be removed and replaced with the addition of new flashing, membrane and decking per detail. New 2x timber trellis over garage door will be added. See detail for more information. Roofing: Existing shingles will be removed new roofing to replace. Over the master bedroom wing, new 5" high-density EPS foam will be cut to fit and placed between each roof rafter/truss in addition to the above. Garage door will be replaced and header will be raised up 6" inches to accommodate new garage door. New fascia, gutters and soffit will replace existing in all locations. See roof plan and details for more information. Existing mechanical vents, electrical outlets, lighting and hose bibs will be removed and replaced.
