Boulder Planning and Development Services permit WET2024-00020: issued Oct 16, 2024 for alteration or repair work at 2085 Hardscrabble Dr. The Fern Meadow-Cragmoor Trail is a 0. 3- mile trail located on the southeast edge of Boulder managed by the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks ( OSMP). The trail crosses a small ephemeral stream just north of where it intersects with the Cragmoor Connector Trail. The existing at- grade stream crossing is relatively flat resulting in water pooling on the trail and muddy conditions when the stream is flowing. When visitors walk around the mud, they trample vegetation leading to trail widening and resource impacts. OSMP is planning to reroute the southern 300 feet of the Fern Meadow- Cragmoor Trail to improve trail grades resulting in better drainage, improved visitor experience, and fewer resource impacts.
