Fort Worth Development Services Department permit HCLC-25-113: opened Apr 29, 2025 for sign work at 1001 Bryan Ave. 5/16/2025 - Approved - See updated plans with a note that the attachment joints will go through mortar only (no brick penetrations). 4/29/2025 - Hold - Please provide a detail showing the attachment to the building. For signage on historic buildings, we recommend that any necessary penetrations be made through the mortar joints rather than the masonry faces, in order to better preserve the historic material. As an FYI, a site plan and plat showing the proposed location of the blade sign—and indicating any encroachment into the public right-of-way—will be required. I did not see these included in the sign permit, so I've copied Dexter Davis on this email to ensure those conditions are added to the permit.

Type of work and status are our own standard labels, so permits compare across cities. The city's wording is in the "City's category" and "City's status" rows. We show costs under $100 as not listed, because filers often enter $0 or $1 when the city doesn't require a cost.
