Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development permit COM-NEW-25-000090: issued May 7, 2026 for new building work at 6210 Summer Ave. MLGW is constructing a 10,000 ft^2 warehouse on the premises of the McCord Water Treatment Plant property. This project will include new driveway, parking, and a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) totaling ~10,000 ft^2 (interior ft^2 only). A lean-to is included on the north exterior wall of the PEMB, totaling 1,140 ft^2. The interior of the PEMB includes a small office, uni-sex restroom, mechanical/electrical space, caged storage area, storage closet, service sink, drinking fountain, (2) overhead insulated coiling doors, (3) hollow metal access doors. Overhead circulating fans, HVAC and LED lighting is included for the interior space. An overhead crane is included in the interior. Exterior LED lighting packs on the PEMB and pole-mounted LED lights around the site are included. Owner has advised that emergency vehicle sirens will activate the gate operators and that it is compliant with IFC 503.6.
