Mesa Development Services permit BLD2014-03191, opened Jun 18, 2014 for 11444 E Germann Rd: roofing. Reference building #7.construct new building. This is a replacement of the existing slag building on the same existing concrete foundation. The building is the same equivalent size and construction type. The new slag building has 8 foot high concrete walls on three sides topped by a metal building shell enclosure. The original metal building has deteriorated from the heat and fumes released during the quenching process. The new metal building will have its structural frame, girts and purlins exposed on the outside of the building. The interior of the building will be lined with sacrificial wall and roof panels. These panels will protect the structure from degrigation and can be easily replaced when they become deteriorated. The new structure is slightly taller and coupled with the new wind requirements has extended footings and is 3,600 sf. The extended footing are at the front of the building. It will be connected to the masonry wall with epoxy anchor bolts.
