Electrical to be installed per 2017 nec requirements."these plans must conform to the requirements of the 2018 international swimming pool & spa code with all city of mesa amendments" code modification - appeal is hereby made to the building official for a modification from, or interpretation of section: ispsc 305.4 of the 2018 irc with mesa amendments, which requires that an alarm, compliant with 2017 UL requirements be provided as barrier when windows of a dwelling or structure serve as part of the barrier and where doors and/or windows provide direct access to the pool/spa through that wall. Additional approval with stipulations include: a) a screwed in place wire mesh screen over the operable window area: b) screwed in “stops”( not thumb screws) may be used to limit window openings no more than 4” and: c) a latching device not less than 54” above the floor. Emergency escape windows may have an alarm or a latching device not less that 54” above the floor. Homeowner shall not change or modify the barrier in any way without approval of the building official. Homeowners shall inform future owner of the conditions of this code modification.
