Mesa Development Services permit PMT21-05404, opened Mar 31, 2021 for 9936 E Thunderbolt Ave: pool or spa. Construct a 408 total FT in-ground swwimming pool and 49 SQ FT spa. Reference master plan # mst19-00383. Install new electrical: 95 FT of 1/2" pvc conduit, #10 thwn wire from main to sub panel. A minimum of 18" ground cover. 30 Amp circuit breaker. Install new gas line: 102 FT of pe gas piping, # 18 tracer wire from meter to 400k btu pool heater. A minimum of 18" ground cover. Installed in compliance with 2018 ifgc and SW gas specifications. Code modification - appeal was hereby made to the building official for a modification from, or interpretation of section: ispsc 305.4 of the 2018 irc with mesa amendments, which requires that an alarm, compliant with 2017 UL requirements be provided as barrier when windows of a dwelling or structure serve as part of the barrier and where doors and/or windows provide direct access to the pool/spa through that wall. Additional approval with stipulations includes a latching device not less than 54” above the floor. Emergency escape windows may have an alarm or a latching device not less that 54” above the floor. Homeowner shall not change or modify the barrier in any way without approval of the building official. Homeowners shall inform future owner of the conditions of this code modification. Ref: pool permit pmt21-05404. These plans shall conform to the requirements of 2018 ispsc and the mesa residential code with all city of mesa amendments.
