Mesa Development Services permit PMT21-09532: opened Jun 2, 2021 for pool or spa work at 10649 E Hawk Ave. Construct a 480 SQ FT in-ground swimming pool. Reference master plan # mst19-00383. No heat, no spa. Install new electrical line: 101'.6" of sch 40 conduit, (4) #10 thhn/thwn wire from main panel to sub panel. A minimum of 18" ground cover. 30Amp circuit breaker. #8 Bond wire. All electrical to comply with 2017 nec and srp specifications. Install new gas lines: [g1] 110'6" FT of 1 1/2" pe gas piping from meter to 65k btu fire feature. [G2] 10 FT of 1 1/2 pe gas piping from fire feature to 65k bbq. All gas line to include #18 tracer wire and a minimum of 128" ground cover. Gas to comply with 2018 ifgc and SW gas specifications. Code modification - appeal was hereby made to the building official for a modification from, or interpretation of section: ispsc 305.4 of the 2018 irc with mesa amendments, which requires that an alarm, compliant with 2017 UL requirements be provided as barrier when windows of a dwelling or structure serve as part of the barrier and where doors and/or windows provide direct access to the pool/spa through that wall. Additional approval with stipulations includes a latching device not less than 54" above the floor. Emergency escape windows may have an alarm or a latching device not less that 54" above the floor. Homeowner shall not change or modify the barrier in any way without approval of the building official. Homeowners shall inform future owner of the conditions of this code modification. Ref: pool permit pmt21-09532. These plans shall conform to the requirements of 2018 ispsc and the mesa residential code with all city of mesa amendments.
