Mesa Development Services permit PMT21-14293, opened Aug 26, 2021 for 4754 E Halifax St: pool or spa. Construct a 587 SQ FT in-ground swimming pool and 49 SQ FT spa. Install new electrical line: 55'.5" 1/2" pvc conduit, #10 adn # 12 groudn thwn from main panel to sub panel. A minimum of 18" ground cover. 30 Amp circuit breaker. All electrical to comply with 2017 nec and srp specifications. Install new gas line: 77 FT of 2" pe gass piping, # 18 tracer wire, a minimum of 18" ground cover from meter to 400k btu pool heater. All gas to comply with 2018 ifgc and city of mesa gas specifications.code modification – appeal was hereby made to the building official for a modification from, or interpretation of, section 305.4 #1 of the international swimming pool and spa code (ispsc) which requires that: section 305.4 #1 operable windows having a sill height of less than 48” above the indoor finished floor and doors shall have an alarm that produces an audible warning when the window or their screens are opened…”that an alarm, compliant with 2017 UL requirements be provided as barrier when windows of a dwelling or structure serve as part of the barrier and where doors and/or windows provide direct access to the pool/spa through that wall. Approval with code modification - appeal was hereby made to the building official for a modification from, or interpretation of section: ispsc 305.4 of the 2018 irc with mesa amendments, which requires stipulations which includes a latching device not less than 54” above the floor. Emergency escape windows may have an alarm or a latching device not less that 54” above the floor. Homeowner shall not change or modify the barrier in any way without approval of the building official. Homeowners shall inform future owner of the conditions of this code modification. Ref: pool permit pmt21-14293. These plans shall conform to the requirements of 2018 ispsc and the mesa residential code with all city of mesa amendments.
