Roof Deck Access / Penthouse: Modify the existing roof hatch and roof deck access area to accommodate a new code-compliant access configuration, construct a new spiral staircase providing access from Unit 3 to the existing roof deck, construct a new penthouse/head house enclosure at the roof-deck access point, penthouse construction will include required structural framing, insulation, roofing, siding, exterior trim, and glazed entrance door, modify the existing roof structure as required for the new stair and penthouse opening, repair and properly flash and waterproof all affected roofing areas, modify the existing roof deck and railing, furnish and install the new spiral staircase and associated railings/guards, perform any required safety-glazing modifications at windows adjacent to the new staircase.
