Grading at 1001 E Alexander Ave, Tacoma
Tacoma Planning and Development Services permit SDEV17-0017: issued Dec 6, 2019 for grading work at 1001 E Alexander Ave. In conjunction with Chicago Bridge and Irons (contractor) building design and construction, this phase of the project is final grading and surfacing of the Tacoma LNG plant. Stockpiled materials from the previous project ground improvements phase (Package 2) will be utilized as fill material throughout the site to achieve final design subgrade. A new stormwater system comprised of catch basins, pipes, and rain gardens will be constructed. Final surfacing materials will also be installed to supplement the plant construction. Asphalt and concrete will be installed to support vehicular circulation throughout the site. Yard rock and landscaping will be the finished surfacing at other locations. This phase of the project will utilize the existing sanitary sewer system for disposal of construction stormwater (reference SAD permit 16-007) until such time that the site is fully stabilized and the new stormwater system is brought on-line.
