Redeveloping the southerly portion of the container yard at Husky Terminal (work areas WA-7, WA-9, & WA-10). The north and south areas are divided by the existing Maintenance and Repair area and reefer storage. Existing conflicting infrastructure such as concrete runways and high mast light poles will be demolished or relocated to align with the new container stacking alignment. Area pavement elevations will be flattened to facilitate container stacking up to 6-high loaded and 7-high empties. Existing utilities will be modified as needed to facilitate regrading, including modification of storm drain system including new slot drains and piping. Project elements include: 1) Demolition a. Existing concrete RTG runways that no longer align with updated layout and associated paving work to realign container stacks. b. Removal and salvaging of 5 high mast light poles. c. Removal of one fire hydrant. d. Misc utility structures, jersey barriers, fencing, bollards, piping, and pavement markings. 2) Construction a. Pavement and modification to utility infrastructure to accommodate grade adjustments in the realigned RTG areas. 3) Utility modifications a. Adjustment of infrastructure to grade in the realigned areas b. Relocation of 4 salvaged high mast light poles c. New fire hydrant in vault d. Electrical and communications infrastructure to connect to relocated light poles and to the terminal grid. 4) Pavement Marking a. Yard pavement marking for new terminal configuration Soil disturbance will be caused by pavement replacement and installation of slot drains, electrical duct, storm drain and fire water piping, manhole adjustments, and high mast light pole drilled shafts.
