A few years ago, a new kiln was installed at the school. During use, the surrounding temperature became excessively high, which triggered the fire alarm. To address this, repairs were made to the venting system to better regulate the heat. However, these repairs were not inspected at the time. The fire marshal has since indicated that the school may not operate the kiln until the repairs have been inspected.
