Updated scope of work as follows per staff report: On March 23, 2023, the Memphis Landmarks Commission approved your application as a MAJOR COA for Exterior Alterations to renovate a dilapidated home by replacing windows, doors, exterior siding, and roof, subject to the following conditions: 1. Front door of the structure shall be replaced with a Craftsman style door with six lights to fit the original door opening, and the applicant shall provide details regarding the front door to staff, prior to issuance of the COA. 2. A 4-inch trim shall be applied around all windows and doors, and it shall be painted in a different color to differentiate it from the rest of the siding. 3. Exterior shiplap siding and trim shall be painted with opaque paint in a color scheme that differentiates the trim from the main body of the structure; wood stain shall not be allowed. 4. Foundation walls and porch foundation shall be painted or covered with slurry; exposed concrete blocks shall not be allowed. Paint color of the foundation walls shall be different than the paint color of the main body/siding of the structure. 5. The middle porch column shall be centered between the other two porch columns. 6. Porch columns shall be painted with opaque paint; timber appearance or wood stain shall not be allowed. 7. Any change or deviation from the approved Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) shall be submitted to the Memphis Landmarks Commission for review and approval.
