Mesa Development Services permit BLD2007-06847: opened Jun 29, 2007 for fire systems work at 66 S Dobson Rd. Remodel of former Target store for use as covered mall building, 102,008 SF, VB construction type, B, M & A-2 occupancy classification, includes individual tenant spaces, food court area w/ non-fixed seating, & grocery store area. Exact square footage of each occupancy unknown until tenant improvements occur. Future aggregate assembly areas shall not exceed 10% of total building area to comply w/ allowable area & accessory use provisions of IBC. Work includes common men's & womens toilet rooms, interior tenant space perimeter partitions, install rooftop mechanical units, M, P & E. 1-hour separation provided between tenant spaces by fire partitions as required for malls. Fire dampers are not required for ducted penetrations of these fire partitions that occur above ceiling lines. Tenant spaces 106 - 116 & 133 - 150 (landlord lease plan suites 1 - 29 & 41 - 49) are provided w/ ceilings & complete ductwork. Tenant spaces 117 - 127 (landlord lease plan suites 30 - 40) are provided w/ rooftop mechanical units, but no ductwork or ceilings. Install 2 grease interceptors (1- 1,050 gallon & 1-4,500 gallon), grease waste piping, new water supply line to building. Electrical includes 4 new SES's; two 2,500 amp, one 2,000 amp & one 1,600 amp. Minimal work occurs in grocery store shell area. Occupancy for all spaces by future separte permits. Existing 3-inch water meter to remain. Install new 2-inch domestic meter. Applicant has elected to defer the following fire protection systems: TYPE 1 HOOD SUPPRESSION SYSTEM, FIRE ALARM SYSTEM AND FIRE SPRINKLERS. Installation of deferred submittal systems is not permitted until plans have been approved and issued. No Certificate of Occupancy, Certificate of Compliance, or Building Final will be granted until such systems are approved and pass final inspection. Applicant is solely responsible for securing such permits in a timely fashion in accord with their construction schedule.
