Installation of New Footing Drain A new footing drain is proposed at the southwest corner of the building to address concerns related to potential water intrusion. The new drain will connect to an existing downstream catch basin. To complete this work, portions of the existing sidewalk and curb and gutter will be removed and replaced, as necessary. 2. Fire Service Backflow Prevention UpgradeThe existing 8" × 6" single check valve serving the fire system will be replaced with an 8" × 6" double check valve to meet current requirements associated with the fire sprinkler system upgrades. FIELD REVISION #2 : FRC26-0207 Approved_7.17.26_As a result, a revised curb ramp design was developed to provide an ADA-compliant pedestrian crossing and restore accessible access through the intersection following completion of the utility work. This revision represents an interim, minimum-impact solution intended to serve the public until the ultimate roadway, sidewalk, and accessibility improvements are constructed as part of the City's future Puyallup Avenue corridor capital improvement project. The revised design maintains pedestrian accessibility, improves compliance with current ADA requirements, and minimizes additional construction beyond that necessary to replace the storm drainage infrastructure.
